inglês Flawless B-slasher with a cool killer who doesn’t pull any punches and mows down anyone who gets on his way. The characters and their interactions do generate mixed feelings, but the murders are awesome – you just don’t see such good gore every day. Laid to Rest also has a very good atmosphere, and despite not being very scary (though there are a couple of scenes), it’s just as entertaining as the recent and equally good Midnight Movie. However, if the intention of the director was to make a horror movie where you can root for the hero with all your heart (as I’ve read somewhere), then he has failed. In a film with this much gore, there’s only one thing you want: “Kill them all, mate!” Edit: On a second viewing, the stupidity of the characters became unbearable and I’m reducing the rating to 3*.
