Vzpomínka na břehu moře

I had no idea this film existed, so I was curious about what significant piece of Czech cinema history I had missed. Now I understand why I hadn't heard of this co-production mess before. It's well-known that Jiří Adamec is among the worst that the Czechoslovak film industry has produced, but the disastrous outcome of the film is mainly due to Markéta Zinnerová's impotent and kitschy screenplay. If I were to consider giving one star, it would be for Eva Vejmělková's blonde mane and the still-youthful look of Lukáš Vaculík. However, when I add up these two positives, it doesn't give me more than a 5% overall impression. (11/08/2009)
