Robert Pratten drew a lot of inspiration from David Cronenberg's work, but he never managed to delve as deeply into the human psyche as the masterful Canadian filmmaker. MindFlesh is a film that tries to convince us that what it depicts is important, that it makes sense, but it fails to generate enough controversy. Not even the charm of the worms can save it. It’s a weak imitation of an intense experience that was evidently intended by the creator and forced upon us.
