A seemingly ordinary day in the life of glassblower Jarda Mika at the Sázava glassworks serves as proof of the many different tasks one single dedicated individual can provide for the collective. The communist stereotype of the hero of the people is here depicted in one of the first documentary films by director Václav Táborský.
Jarda Mika is an amateur filmmaker, too. He uses his 8mm camera to record his friends from the local football club. But filming is one of his few weak spots – he fails to capture a single goal. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
