Quando James King (Will Ferrell), um gerente especializado na área de investimentos milionários, é condenado por fraude e sentenciado a prisão em San Quentin, o juiz concede-lhe 30 dias para organizar a sua vida antes de começar a cumprir a pena. Desesperado, ele recorre a Darnell Lewis (Kevin Hart) para ajudá-lo a preparar-se para a vida atrás das grades - assumindo que Darnell é um vilão de primeira, quando Darnell é na realidade, um proprietário de um pequeno negócio, trabalhador e que nunca recebeu uma única multa de estacionamento ou passou um único dia na prisão. Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell make for a good duo. Honestly, it’s been a long time since I was this happy about a pair of guys, one of whom is black and the other white. It might have been a little bit too crazy at times, which is exactly something you can expect with those two dorks, but on the other hand, it met my expectations and even though a few of the scenes were a bit weaker, I overall had a good time watching Get Hard.

A classic contemporary comedy. It has a pretty good idea, with a lot of exaggerated facial expressions and overacting, which is pretty much expected from Ferrell and Hart, and in the end, just an unsatisfying bonding of the two characters. The potential that was there clearly seems untapped to me, which I think is quite a problem. There's really very little humor in it.
