Young People's Concerts: Forever Beethoven

Gustav Holst’s “The Planets" probably entertained the young audience more, but the "heavier" the music is this time, the more accessible Bernstein's words are, he manages to explain everything very clearly and effortlessly again - he talks and directs quite a lot. A great bonus of this volume is the performance of the then young and already amazing twenty-two-year-old pianist Joseph Kalichstein, today one of the most acclaimed pianists not only in America, but also in the world.
