A batalha para os derrotar e restaurar a harmonia do universo Lego levará Emmet, Lucy, Batman e os seus amigos a mundos longínquos e inexplorados, incluindo uma galáxia onde tudo é um musical. Less impressive but more goods®. However, it is still so unbeatably great that it is by no means a mere (consumer) commodity®. It conveys the message, ideas for three films, references enough for twenty movies, it's for little kids, girls, boys, dads and mothers, and it's still part of a big-budget family animated movie (and this time also a musical for children; after all, all those songs, kill me, they are in Czech for one class better than in the original) nice, subversive, original and ... Yes, just great. If the first movie was already against your fur, then you have not change coping with the second one, because it continuous in the same excessive pace as LEGO Batman. PS: On the other hand, I may only be subject to the Stockholm Syndrome, because my son and myself have watched all Lego series and (short) films countless times, so at least it´s something new.

The aliens from the last episode left behind a bleak desert in the style of the world from Mad Max, but worse things are to come. Here comes a whirlwind of glitter and sequins…Fratricidal combat is about to start. This instalment lost the element of surprise, but still has charm. Great entertainment with a whole lot of hidden references, even though this time more for the kids, especially girls. I have to dig some boxes out of the cellar. I almost felt emotional. Not many kids' movies tell you that becoming a grown-up is bad, that growing up is practically the end.

I liked The Lego Movie 2 better than the first for some reason, even though it was basically the same plot and narrative. I had more fun and enjoyed the pop culture allusions. The live-action sequences felt a bit cheesy and the whole film rode a rosier wave, so you could almost tell it was aimed more at a girl audience, but I still enjoyed the screening, which is the main thing. Another completely insane trip into the world of building blocks, where there are no rules and almost anything is possible as long as it can be built or rebuilt - god or no god.
