Punho de Ferro (2017)

inglês Daredevil is the clear winner. I gave up on Jessica Jones after three episodes and I didn't even get into Luke Cage. Iron Fist, however, kept me decently entertained for all 13 episodes. The acting was good even though the main character annoyed me with his opinions at times, but I found the story very engaging and the pacing quite brisk. What I consider a downside is the action, which takes place most of the time in the dark and you can't see anything, even the choreography is quite artificial and not very striking for my taste, for a martial arts series it is disappointing in this respect, there’s no R-rating and the lack of a villain is also disappointing. We know Madame Gao and The Hand from Daredevil, so a Kingpin or Punisher style character was very much missed here. Still, slightly above average.70% ()

Season 2 (2018) (S02)

inglês A perfect return for the second season and if it wasn't for some little mistakes, it would be a full score for me. A significant change in almost everything. Cutting it down from 13 to 10 episodes greatly increases the pace, the main character acts more rational and isn't as annoying as before, the action scenes are no longer filmed in the dark, have top notch choreography and ar almost uncut! And finally, The Hand is not involved, but the Chinese Triads which is much more interesting stuff, plus the excellent villain Davos from Khun-Lun who has a clear plan, he is played perfectly, uncompromisingly and commands a huge amount of respect. Praise also for the excellent music and I loved the new anti-heroine Mary Walker's split personality, it’s top notch. The only thing that slightly bothered me was the final twist, which didn't quite sit right, but the final seconds again unexpectedly set up the next season, which I can't wait for. Very good, and Colleen is gorgeous. 85% ()
