Depois da segunda projeção, no ecrã, dou a avaliação completa e o DVD vai para a prateleira com os filmes do meu coração. Himalaya não são apenas imagens bonitas e música linda. Não é apenas uma meditação visual-musical. É também um filme espiritual sobre orgulho, persistência, família, conhecimento (última tomada gira). Exprime-se humilde, modesta e discretamente, na linguagem dos seus protagonistas. Himalaya é um filme de uma terra onde a sabedoria não é feita na escola, mas faz-se pela idade da pessoa. «Escolha sempre o caminho mais difícil».

Instead of being a regular movie, this is more like a documentary about everyday life in the Himalayas and, looking at it that way, it has much to offer. A lovely insight into life there, but unfortunately it is so dragged out and almost boring in places, just like the reality of everyday life there. The camerawork is great, very impressive, and the music too. Himalaya is certainly a fascinating picture, but could have been even better if it were cut a little shorter.
