Messages dans l’air

Paper birds are building a nest in a tree. In the house next door is the home of a woman with a black cat. Her neighbour, a strong-looking boxer, feeds his goldfish that swims in a big bowl on the windowsill. Naturally, the cat cannnot resist stalking the goldfish, and the birds, again and again. One of the birds is made from a letter. When the woman reads it, she thinks of the boxer and blushes. A charming animation with an upbeat musical score, inspired by the colours of an old-fashioned airmail letter. (Berlinale)
