Since ancient times, Japan has upheld the tradition of the 12 Zodiac signs. Eto-musumes (Zodiac girls), who have the appearance and behavior of the animals of the Zodiac, are pure hearted messengers who act as a bridge between humans and the gods. Originally, I had high hopes for Etotama; I thought it would be cute, original, and witty. However, although I was impressed by the chibi style, I realized that I was once again cruelly mistaken. It looks like the narrative is quite insane, but unfortunately, I did not think it was insane in a good way. The characters were more weird than cute, and the comedy in the first episode seemed clichéd and based on tropes. Plus, the insane chibi during the fight scenes was very off-putting. Nya-tan is quite nice to look at, although her character was unbearably annoying. Perhaps it is just me, but the first episode of this anime did not do it for me, even though I consider myself a fan of cute things. So I guess I will not be watching it again.
