Ladrões Com Muito Estilo

I loved the old-timer gang in this movie. Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Alan Arkin and Christopher Lloyd are exactly the people this movie is worth watching for. Other than that, it’s a good old bank heist movie which are a dime a dozen. I don’t mean that in a bad way, it just could’ve used a little bit more fun. This way the grandpas enjoyed a little bit of adrenaline with a moral subtext, but that’s about it. Similar comedies tend to be more amusing than this… (31/08/2018)

A pretty nice story that highlights the problem of today's retirees. The acting is spot on, especially Michael Caine is excellent, but I didn't like the humour and the pace is rather tepid. It's not the ideal type of film I seek out, but it's okay for one viewing. 60% (15/07/2017)

A comedy that unfortunately few people would expect in movie theatres today. A great central trio and other characters, joke after joke (not all of them take on old age or illness) and at the same time a humanly sensitive story, reasonable runtime, excellent soundtrack and a lot of directorial toying that make it all flow from beginning to end. Moreover, the story managed to avoid some of the most serious clichés (and if not avoid them, then to knock them down in a very funny way), so I am clearly satisfied and I must say that I haven't had such a good time in front of the big screen for a long time. Ladrões Com Muito Estilo é uma comédia despreocupada para descansar, com um elenco de enorme qualidade e cujo trio central desfruta do tempo em frente à câmera. Tudo toma um caminho que o espetador pode adivinhar com antecedência, mas ainda assim o entretém bastante bem, faz rir várias vezes e passa muito depressa. Um filme ideal para relaxamento. I was looking forward to this film quite a lot because of the cast, but it failed to live up to my expectations. The writing was as shallow as lake Balaton even though the theme had a lot of potential. Well, it was a flop and the film was incredibly draggy and predictable. The three stars go to the three gentlemen in the lead roles and the immortal Ann-Margret. (29/08/2017)

This trio simply could not disappoint. They are all such great actors, and with the addition of others who appear here, this simply had to be a film that would entertain the audience, impress them, but above all, allow them to empathize with the characters and their behavior. It happened, and I'm leaving with a pleasant experience from watching it. (29/08/2017)
