Owen Wilson e Ed Helms são os gémeos Kyle e Peter que, fortuitamente, descobrem que têm vivido uma mentira. O terno homem da fotografia que têm na lareira de casa afinal não é o seu pai, mas uma invenção tecida pela mãe (Glenn Close) para lhes ocultar a verdade e a verdade é que ela não sabe quem é o pai dos próprios filhos. Foi na década de 70 e nessa época era a loucura e bem… Vocês sabem como é. Munidos de uma mão cheia de pistas, os irmãos resolvem sair em busca do homem misteriosos, dando início a uma louca viagem de descobertas e revelações durante a qual acabam por ficar a saber mais acerca da mãe do que aquilo que gostariam. Pretty decent work for a debut and it's good to see Owen Wilson after a long time. The story is quite interesting, about twins who decide to search for their father and find out that it won't be easy the first time, as their mother was raging at the disco in the 70s and had no problem spreading her legs. There are a few funny sexual innuendos, it's well paced and surprisingly has a very good final twist that was a decent surprise. 65%.

Owen Wilson and Ed Helms definitely have comic potential, and it showed in some scenes, but this journey to find one’s own father didn't work. It's lengthy, playing on the performances of the supporting actors without the script giving them anything interesting. Another bad, well-cast American comedy.
