I have a feeling like this animated movie isn’t exactly for the kids nowadays. It’s more for those who have seen the beginnings of PCs, Commodores, Atari, the first moments of social media coming to life, the very first touch screens… Because only those people can understand what’s really going on in this movie and how funny it all is. I was pretty happy with it and honestly, I don’t get the brutal hate that the movie’s getting on this site. I thought it was good. ()

inglês I’d say that with this sort of animated movie, the target audience is important. And in this case it is very little kids and perhaps people who send smileys instead of writing, because they think it’s a better or quicker way of expressing their feelings to click in 2 or 5 smileys. Colored pandas dance here. My two-year-old daughter liked it and it gave me some time to pay some bills or do my tax return, which I find more difficult if there is a Pixar movie playing. It serves its purpose. ()

inglês Not at all, it's not nearly as bad as it might seem looking at the reviews here. The main problem is that the target audience for The Emoji Movie is more likely to be in elementary school than on Filmbooster. The film is fairly imaginative but mediocre, it tries to come up with something new but at the same time steals from Wreck-It Ralph, The Lego Movie, and Toy Story... And its message that the right emoticon will solve everything seemed pretty clueless and perhaps even dangerous for kids. But like I said, kids won't be worried about this and they'll have a good time. ()

inglês I suppose it wasn't expected that this would be a brilliantly thought out and entertaining film, but compared to the reviews I had seen before watching it, this wasn't that terrible. It has to be said that the overall idea wasn't utilized at all, though it's not a bad one. The film played it too safe and a few good scenes and jokes can't save it. ()
