Um filme lento e pouco imaginativo do ponto de vista da direção - só a câmara em movimento o torna visualmente distinto - mas muito agradável no tema e surpreendente dentro da filmografia de Phillip Noyce. Pode ser propaganda política, mas é também uma história sobre a importância dos laços familiares e da presença de um ambiente familiar. E com um excelente desempenho da jovem atriz principal.
