Jennifer Hills is still tormented by the brutal sexual assault she endured years ago. She's changed identities and cities, reluctantly joining a support group where she begins to piece together a new life. But when her new friend's murderer goes free and the tales of serial rapists haunt her, Jennifer will hunt down the men responsible and do what the system won't – she will make them pay for their crimes in the most horrific ways imaginable. inglês I saw the first mentions of I Spit on Your Grave III about two months ago and I had tears of joy in my eyes and an erection that fell a week later after I learned that the director this time was not Steven R. Monroe, but the director of the mediocre Mischief Night. I figured maybe he'll improve, after all, the best exploitation franchise of all time isn't going to be entrusted to just anyone. Well, as soon as I saw the first teaser I knew something was amiss here and my prediction was sadly correct. I Spit on Your Grave III has one attraction, Sarah Butler, but that's not enough. The film takes a long time to get going, with almost 40 minutes of nothing but conversation, and you hope that it will at least pick up at the end, but no, these two directors clearly have no idea how to make a proper exploitation flick. This is no longer rape & revenge, but a naive killing spree in the dark streets where we only get one gore scene, albeit a very good one (while the second film made our balls hurt, this one makes your whole dick hurt), but the rest of it was rather sloppy and very underused. Fortunately I wasn't bored, the film went bay fast, the cute school girl style outfits and the nasty evil bitch were good, and at the very end there’s a rather gnarly disposal that pulls it up to at least average, but this is disappointment of the year, it buries the run-up to the best horror franchise since Saw. Hopefully it will repair its reputation in the fourth part. 50% ()

inglês The change, while not radical, in my opinion, benefited the series, and I Spit on Your Grave 3 maintains a relatively high standard, keeping the series alive. However, at this point, there's basically no room for these films to evolve further. I hope this installment marks the end, as it will serve as a sufficiently good farewell on its own. Personally, this change of genre suited me. ()
