Perdition County

The protagonist of this dark film about preserving one's humanity is a foot soldier who is part of a strange group of travellers who tyrannize the countryside while collecting scalps. Desmond is beginning to feel that he no longer wants to live this life, but the community is like his family. Sometimes, even if you don't like the rules, they are deeply ingrained. After he encounters two children, he travels the barren land with his unexpected charges and is given the chance to re-evaluate his decisions and to try to find the last traces of goodness remaining within him. Will he be able to turn perdition into redemption? (Karlovy Vary International Film Festival)
