Lacrimosa

Snippets of life alongside a major road in São Paulo create a poetic image of misery. Long tracking shots evoking single takes immerse us into poverty. Images of favelas, abandoned properties, and landfills flit across the screen. Occasionally music is heard and "trash is the only way to survive" – as one of the four subheadings reads.
