Through a series of intimate scenes recorded with a camcorder in 1970, the Jamaican artist Esther Anderson presents the blending of reggae and rasta culture that launched the international career of Bob Marley to stardom. This documentary analyses the formative period of The Wailers, reveals the extent to which his original vision promoted radical change in perception and awareness both musically and socially in Jamaica and throughout the world. Anderson shows us Marley before he became a legend through the fragments of a footage lost for forty years. (Guadalajara International Film Festival)
