Children in a southern sector of Algiers find the decomposing body of a man in a municipal dump. No one steps forward to identify the dead man, who has been shot in the head. Strong pressure is brought to have the death registered as a suicide, but the two investigators in charge of the file persist in their inquiry, especially when they realize that solving the case is a matter of social justice.
