An actor, a master, supported in television conditions by the royal dubbing led by Miroslav Donutil. This famous story of revenge is maturing in a series co-production into a masterpiece, where Edmond Dantes can thoroughly enjoy every opponent and gain not only a feeling of satisfaction but also love. An under-appreciated work in its time, to which I gladly return.

An excellent TV adaptation of a great novel that just blew me away. Gérard Depardieu is a fantastic actor, and he proves it here effortlessly, easily outshining most of the other actors, who are themselves legends of European cinema. A great story that doesn't age, showing that revenge is a justice that is often fairer than the law.
