Hercule Poirot brings a fresh perspective to a notorious 14 year old murder case. Caroline Crane was hanged for the murder of her flamboyant artist husband in an apparent crime of passion after he flaunted yet another extra-marital affair. Their 21 year old daughter returns from Canada, having just learned the truth about her parents. She persuades Poirot to re-examine the case, but the original witnesses to the crime are not so keen to dig up the past. (iTunes)

inglês It's an excellent episode that also has an interesting narrative form, which is overall reflected in the visual aspects of the film, both in the case of flashbacks and in the present. It's beautifully tangled, and until the end, you won't know who the real murderer is and why. It’s also well shot. It doesn't matter that there's not even a hint of humor. There's no need for it. ()
