A Memory of the Wind

Mitsuki, a Japanese dancer, and Jian, a Korean dancer, meet in Jeju on the southern island of Korea. Mitsuki’s grandfather served as a kamikaze pilot there during the Japanese occupation. Jian’s grandfather endured hardships when the Japanese military took his land. They look back on the sad history, imagining that their grandfather might have met each other. By dancing together at sunset, they comfort the souls of all those who died. (Sitges Film Festival)
