One More Jump

In a Palestine gripped by the constant threat of war, Jehad and Abdallah seek freedom of movement. For them, parkour becomes a liberation and a daily shared joy, but ultimately also a curse. Everyday life in the Gaza Strip is marked by shortages of food, medicine and work. The streets are lined with endless bread queues and the heavy warm air is cut by the sounds of military attacks. Parkour training in ruined buildings is a temporary escape for the boys from this difficult reality. Under the banner of the Gaza Parkour Team, enthusiasts run out for afternoon training under the guidance of Abdallah. But the team's cohesiveness is disrupted by his sudden departure to Europe, where he wants to become a professional athlete. Jehad also holds a visa at one point, but he has seriously ill parents at home. The dramatic conclusion of the film shows that even the strongest rebound is sometimes not enough to propel you into a new, happier life. (One World)
