Conteúdos(1)

Based on a true story, Frank W. Abagnale was employed as a doctor, a lawyer, and as a co-pilot for a major airline company—all before reaching his 21st birthday. A successful con artist and master of deception, Frank is also a brilliant forger, whose skill at check fraud has netted him millions of dollars in stolen funds--much to the chagrin of the authorities. FBI Agent Carl Hanratty has made it his prime mission to capture him and bring him to justice, however Frank is always one step ahead of Carl, baiting him to continue the chase. inglês A three man show of the director, the composer and the actor. Spielberg didn't mess up his return to the comedy genre (though - is it even a comedy?) this time, and John Williams, who has been showing deep stagnation lately, scored big. And lastly, does anyone else still doubt that Leo DiCaprio is a great actor? ()

inglês This purely recreational but extremely enjoyable and carefully scripted and directed retro comedy about the reform of a crafty swindler maintains its pace throughout and practically has no weak spots. It's a fresh piece based on well-executed comedic situations and the charisma of the acting trio of Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks, and Christopher Walken. I sincerely envied Frank for his personal charm... It's one of those rare comedies that can appeal to most audiences without resorting to cheap jokes. Overall impression: 90%. ()

inglês You can see that once Spielberg sheds the weight of the heavy subject matter he usually has to comment on with sufficient deference, his seat loosens considerably and he finally starts to fully devote himself to the parameters through which he more or less made his name, namely choreography, set design, and the rhythm of the plot. You can feel the release and inner calm in every scene of this film, with Kaminski's years of experience with Spielberg naturally inscribed into it, so that any shot that passes here sort of casually wouldn't be something most filmmakers couldn’t put together in a lifetime or would build a film around.
