Sem Limites (2011)

inglês At Almighty I was considering whether to give three or four stars. However, the fact that likable characters appear in the film, that the film has an interesting idea and even more interesting plot, and that Robert De Niro appears in the film, who once again does not disappoint, forced me to give it four stars. However, I was a little annoyed by the ending, which after a long time, once again, is typically American. And that really annoyed me here.

Caçadores de Cabeças (2011)

inglês Hunters of heads is such a, slightly different northern region than I am used to. A bit towards France. It forces the actors to squeeze out everything within their mental and physical strength and throw them into a story that doesn't seem at first, but over time it brutally twists and evolves at an absolutely unbelievable pace. But I have to say, I enjoyed it.

Sem Tempo (2011)

inglês Absolutely divine sci-fi. At first I felt like an idiot, but after a few minutes I immediately got into it. Justin Timberlake once again showed me that he can be a great actor. And that even though I hated him as a musician. Nevertheless, he chose a truly great idea, which was filmed by Andrew Niccol. Honestly, I haven't seen such an interesting idea in sci-fi for a long time. And yet that idea hides a classic view a la Robin Hood. However, even the processing of that world, the music, the action...all of it deserves attention.

Lymelife (2008)

inglês American independence has about a 20 percent success rate with me, and that's where the success lies. I enjoyed that sad undertone, the series of quite shocking scenes, and above all Rory and Kieran Culkin with Alec Baldwin. Excellent characters, perfectly played in a finally interesting story that can captivate. What more could you want.

Moneyball - Jogada de Risco (2011)

inglês Moneyball... another one of those sports dramas, which is a bit different than other baseball movies. However, I would still exclude baseball from this movie. It's not exactly a sport I would seek out twice, but I still hit a home run with this film. Why? Because it's incredibly human... emotions went through my whole body while watching it, mainly thanks to Brad Pitt, who delivered a wonderful performance. The moments when he was with his daughter, I was holding my breath just like him. The same goes for all the meetings with management or dialogues with Jonah Hill. Jonah Hill even pleased me even more by appearing in the movie. I've seen him a few times and I really liked this likable guy. And he fit into Moneyball perfectly. Moneyball will definitely stay in my heart for a long time, if not forever.

Planeta dos Macacos: A Origem (2011)

inglês I really didn't want to watch this movie at all. I don't like it when classics are being rebooted nowadays, which happens very often. It would have to be really something special to catch my interest. And here, it really looked like it, because this movie had quite a high rating above my expectations, so I gave it a try. The film is very well shot, the effects are perfect, but I can't help it, it's all just so silly. The story... The fact that things that could be done simply are complicated in the film, I could overlook. But the fact that years go by as if nothing, the army, armed with bullets as powerful as air bombs, can't shoot down even one monkey, and what's more, they don't even shoot through a bus really touch me. It all ends with a very spicy scene in the middle of a sequoia forest. At that moment, I thought that an American would have sent a nuclear warhead into the sequoias and would have been done with it all.

Warrior - Combate Entre Irmãos (2011)

inglês First came Wrestler, the next year Fighter appeared, and now Warrior is on the scene. I understand that these films are here to offer physically and mentally challenging scenarios, for which the best options are chosen for main roles, supporting roles, director, music, and a bunch of other important functions that revolve around the film. And in the end, they fight over how many Oscars they will take home this time. However, even behind the themes of such high-profile films can hide an incredibly sensitive story full of life destinies and beautiful scenes that will make you want to cry... and what's more, you will roar like turtles. Warrior is simply a wonderful film. It has a story that inherently must evoke some emotions, at the very least reflection. But as soon as I started the first minutes of the film, I immediately bonded with the actors playing the two brothers. Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton played them absolutely brilliantly. And of course, I can't forget about their dad, played by Nick Nolte, who delivered perhaps the best acting performance I saw in 2011. It was a joy to watch those individual fights in the ring, the eyes of the main actors, who look at each other and you can see the incredible sadness in them. And then there was the music by Mark Isham, which now interests me a lot, because the last scene in combination with the absolutely brilliant actors and his music evoked in me something that no film has evoked in me for a long time, and I can say that the top 5 best scenes I have ever seen will probably hold up after watching it. Just like this beautifully told story of two brothers will stay with me in my heart forever.

The Odessa File (1974)

inglês Such a typical thriller a la James Bond. Except with a better story and less action. The best thing about the movie was its setting in World War II. However, when reading the summary, I was looking forward much more than I was excited during the movie.

Siberia (1998)

inglês You cow, that was bullshit. For one, I don't know what it has to do with comedy, and for two, I absolutely disagreed with those two actors. They were idiots, quite cheaply and oddly filmed idiots, I hoped that one of them would maybe get a rash and the whole movie would end. Unbelievable mess.

Sherlock Holmes: Jogo de Sombras (2011)

inglês Sherlock Holmes: The Game of Shadows is a very specific film. Sherlock, as played by Robert Downey Jr., is a combination of solid British solidity and Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean. It is all then thrown into absolutely brutally edited action fun, which has a ton, but really a ton of action, which is shot in such a strange way that some people really like it and some will be really annoyed by it. But I must say that I incredibly enjoyed it. Robert confirmed to me as a great actor who has a gleam of humor and seriousness...and can do a British accent :) Jude Law also did not disappoint, as well as Noomi Rapace, who actually surprised me at how quickly she got beyond the borders of Sweden after the success of the Millennium trilogy. The only flaw this film has is the story, which actually isn't interesting at all. In fact, it's about nothing. The main thing in this film is mainly the action, which I personally absolutely enjoyed in the cinema.
