Uma sitcom americana fraca sobre uma família disfuncional num espetáculo de longa duração. Metade das piadas não são engraçadas, o resto é aceitável. Felizmente, no final do filme, consegue conhecer os personagens e percebê-lo, mas a maioria das filmagens anteriores sofre por não compreender o que é suposto ser engraçado nas cenas. Idêntica no tema, mas muito mais imaginativa é a comédia de Frank Oz Morte num Funeral (2008).

Negatives: 1) The jump from a moving car is incredibly badly filmed. 2) I was annoyed by the gradual reconciliation of relationships in the family, real life just doesn’t work that way. Positives: 1) Zooey Deschanel. 2) Not that I spent the whole time laughing, but I had quite a few opportunities to do so. 3) The funeral. I saw two films with this theme in two days and both of them turned out great. 4) Overall impression. I found this to be an extremely feel-good film.
