Ernest e Célestine regressam a Charabie, o país de Ernest, para reparar o seu violino partido. Esta terra exótica, repleta de melodias que enchem o ar de felicidade, é o lar dos melhores músicos do mundo. Contudo, ao chegarem ao destino, os dois heróis descobrem que toda e qualquer forma de música está banida de Charabie há vários anos – e para eles, a vida sem música é impensável. Com os seus amigos e um misterioso bandido mascarado, Ernest e Célestine têm de trazer de volta a música e a felicidade à terra dos ursos. (Cinemundo)

While the first feature film was about the bonding of Ernest and Celestina, the second film is about the bonding of Ernest with his (semi-)forgotten family and homeland. Once again, we have a visually engaging and sweetly written film with the timeless idea that man (or bear) should choose his own path in life and not be forced by his environment to do something that does not fulfill him. This level will appeal mainly to more mature viewers, while younger audiences will enjoy the nice animation and the spare, unforced humour. A weaker four stars!
