Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio will certainly not be lost among contemporary animated films thanks to its visual design and mature story, and I wouldn't be surprised if it wins the Oscar for Best Animated Feature. Handcarved Cinema offers an enriching behind-the-scenes look at a film that was the product of years of hard work, effort, but also great creativity and precision in the field of stop motion animation. As a bonus, there are short commentaries by the actors who gave their voice to the puppets.
