Rock star Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) releases an album and an accompanying single about problems in Africa called "African Child." The song and music video are banned and called "the worst thing to happen to Africa since apartheid" by NME. The single ruins Aldous' career, and as a result he starts drinking and doing drugs excessively once again. His girlfriend Jackie Q (Rose Byrne), with whom he had a son named Naples, also leaves him, taking custody of Naples. Aaron Green (Jonah Hill) is a driven, idealistic young college graduate who works as a low-level talent scout at Pinnacle Records. He lives with his girlfriend Daphne (Elisabeth Moss), a doctor in her internship, but they do not get to see each other often due to her heavy work schedule. Pinnacle Records has lost a lot of money, so the head of the company, Sergio Roma (Sean "Diddy" Combs), asks for ideas. Os restos pedrados do belo humor do muito melhor, mais conceptual Um Belo Par... de Patins. Mas será possível não gostar de uma comédia com Jonah Hill e Russell Brand?

I have one small problem with "Apatowkas," a peculiar branch of the comedy subgenre. Either they really entertain me, or they completely miss the mark for me. This means their humor, outlook on life, and feeling. Get him to the Greek is the latter for me. I’m not saying I didn't laugh. I wasn't even bored. Yet I just found the whole thing cruelly pointless, when every five minutes you realize that the film is pausing in place and the plot isn't really going anywhere. Don't use Hill, maybe Brand... Stoeller took a step back.

An unappealing, shabby atmosphere, a poor cast of fairly untalented actors, and artificial humor. Any comparison of this "fun" to The Hangover is also offensive. Because here again, someone has made an attempt at a pathetic ripoff. I appreciate the effort, but you don't go to the movies for effort. A waste of time, very boring.

I like Russell Brand and he suits me in basically any role, even though I prefer him a little more in calmer, less aggressive ones. But that doesn't mean that I didn't like him here. I had a great time, and even though the plot is quite simple and banal, there is still quite a lot of interesting and entertaining things happening around it. Occasionally it is a bit cliché, but for me it's an enjoyable movie.
