Onde um filme «normal» começaria após os primeiros 20 minutos, este para após 80 minutos. Lukas Moodysson confia na simplicidade, honestidade e credibilidade das situações emocionais. E também nas duas atrizes, que se destacam. Aos dezassete anos, eu podia identificar-me com os problemas adolescentes tão sensivelmente retratados e o filme ter-me-ia cativado. Vi o filme hoje sem grande efeito emocional. Talvez só a espontaneidade da cena do beijo no carro (banda sonora inteligentemente amplificada) realmente me tenha agradado.

Nearly twenty years ago, the film must have been somewhat more surprising, and it had to have a slightly greater impact on the viewer. But nowadays, when any relationship between the same gender seems normal to me, it's more of a feel-good movie about finding a way to mature, which can be achieved in various ways. Two girls used this method.
