500 years after they were blinded and executed for committing human sacrifices, a band of Templar knights returns from the grave to terrorize a rural Portuguese village during its centennial celebration. Embora ao segundo episódio da série falte a atmosfera escura única e o peso da maldição que eleva tanto o quarto episódio, a disposição das personagens e as suas ações são suficientemente divertidas. Em geral, a ideia do argumentista de mandar uma horda de esqueletos templários a cavalo para uma praça fechada cheia de pessoas a festejar e a dançar é fixe. Não faltam, claro, os traços de filmes de lixo em determinados pontos, mas, em geral, faz sentido e tem um conceito elaborado.

Return of the Blind Dead doesn't significantly lag behind the first installment, but sometimes it feels like it's trying too hard to mimic it. Certainly, when you keep brainstorming plot twists around the entire concept to keep it interesting while maintaining the horror atmosphere, it can be quite challenging. It succeeds in the end, though the film certainly doesn't scare as much as it could. Still, there are scenes that are disturbing.
