Em Busca da Vingança

A produção de Darren Aronofsky? Mas porquê? É porque se trata dum drama em que todos sofrem? Porém, para um drama dele é bastante fraco. E a presença de Arnold nele é sem dúvida o «o que é isso?!» de 2017. É como se atuasse no papel de Sean Penn em 21 Gramas. Mostra-me uma única pessoa mesmo remotamente envolvida em filmes (seja como espetador ou como cineasta) que não ache isto irreal. De resto, a descrição das responsabilidades dos trabalhadores do centro de controlo do aeroporto é original e forte aqui, e Scoot McNairy oferece uma atuação decente. Tal como precisava de ser. Em termos de argumento, a história poderia ter-se desenvolvido de maneira diferente, mais interessante. Tal como é, o filme desvanece-se no esquecimento antes de terminarem os créditos finais. Arnold Schwarzenegger demonstrates that he can act, and let's face it, for me, that's pretty much enough in the case of this movie. The story is quite well-dramatized, and Arnold demonstrates how he can handle this aspect quite easily. It's a very quiet film, but the emotions are there, even though they're somewhat suppressed except for a few moments, and it's up to the viewer to infer them. (13/04/2017)

This attempt at psychological drama didn't quite work. The opening seemed quite promising, but then the film's narrative started to drag incredibly, despite a certain brevity. The final denouement was quite unexpected, but at the same time, it seemed quite unbelievable, which I consider a mistake in the case of a film based on real events.
