inglês For the first time in a while, a great romantic comedy, dominated by the charismatic Charlize Theron and the typically right-headed Seth Rogen. The film benefits most from the idea and the sheer chemistry between the two lead characters. Theron is running for president and Rogen has no job, style or manners. The biggest highlights are a high Charlize Theron negotiating with terrorists and Seth's drug paraphernalia during a security search. Very good, fresh and sweet. 80%. ()

inglês Charlize and Rogen go really well together. :-D An excellent feelgood comedy with loads of references and typical stoner gags. Following a formula is a matter of course in this genre, but this film has something to say. Whether it’s an environmental warning, strong women in top positions, neo-Nazis or political corruption, Rogen always comes up with at least one good joke that provokes discussion over a beer. Pretty Woman with Cumguy instead of a hooker. ()

inglês A superb and charismatic Charlize Theron, an anti-sexy Seth Rogen and the classic romantic "sci-fi" template. It has its good moments, dirty humour and clouds of spontaneous vulgarities that are fitting, but it doesn't even remotely resemble something that could have happened in real life, not at all. No way. The allusions to Trump and the global warming situation are cool, they move the film from the category of dumb comedies into the category of relatively aware comedies. ()

inglês Long Shot reminded me at times very vividly of an inverted version of Pretty Woman, maybe it was the song “It Must Have Been Love” by Roxette or purely because of the title couple, who just switch roles in a certain way compared in order to make female emancipation stand out. Both Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen deliver good performances, there was chemistry between them and I genuinely laughed at some of the scenes and physical gags – the "Molly" sequence got me the most. All the while, though, I felt like the film was missing something crucial that would make me remember it a week from now. That said, as a nicely made afternoon diversion, this film is perfect. ()

inglês The story was obviously silly, and since it was not just comedy but also romance, the ending was awfully predictable. Yet, I did have a good time. Had it not been for the crowd celebration scenes at the end, which the hungry-for-pathos American audience demands, I would have even added an extra star. When the romantic hero is an obese rabbi in a tracksuit, who occasionally polishes the hood of a car or floor with the mop on his chin, it's hard not to laugh. Charlize Theron took care of the eye-pleasing aspect of the film, the script was not dumb, I had some good laughs, so why not? ()
