Meñique is the tale of a tiny little peasant man desperate to get his family out of poverty. A plague of insects and a meeting with the Magic Mirror will open the door to adventure. The Magic Mirror reveals the woman of his dreams and encourages him to head for the city with his brothers Pedro and Pablo. I don't necessarily think that animation has to be Pixar-like, but in that case, creators shouldn't try to mimic it and should come up with something original instead. This is truly awful in some ways and I didn't enjoy watching it, simply because it didn't look pretty. The almost Shrek-esque story isn't exactly groundbreaking either.
