Rural police officer Cruz investigates the bizarre case of a headless woman's body found in a remote region by the Andes Mountains. David, the husband of Cruz's lover Francisca, becomes the prime suspect and is sent to a local mental hospital. David blames the crime to the inexplicable and brutal appearance of the "Monster”, and its victims’ plea “Murder Me, Monster”. As more deaths happen - Cruz must determine who is the real monster. Uma história policial misteriosa com uma boa atmosfera, mas na qual muitas coisas não fazem sentido, e no final é tão WTF ao ponto de ser ridícula que não se compreende o que faz na secção «Un Certain Regard» do FF de Cannes. Às vezes penso que a América do Sul está ainda mais distante da cultura e mentalidade europeias do que a Ásia. A propósito, a famosa montanha Fitz Roy do cartaz «MMM» não aparece nem sequer num vislumbre no filme. [Cannes]
