Um tema original que reflete a obsessão dos jovens em serem bem sucedidos no concurso de identidades do mundo virtual artificial, e formalmente bem tratado. Mas é exatamente por isso que eu esperava que desenvolvesse uma conspiração mais ampla com um desenlace mais dramático. No final, o filme é mais um filme psicológico mais íntimo de uma personagem adolescente com uma realidade perturbada, cujas crises psicológicas não me interessam realmente como espetador. An erotic techno thriller that quite nicely works with suspense. In normal circumstances I would say that the premise is quite fitting for America with its total naivete, had it not been for the recently produced documentary Caught in the Net, which is similar in its premise and goes to even greater extremes. A girl from live chat behaved in a quite thrilling way at the beginning and not because you expect her to make up a lot of different stuff in front of the camera but because of the mysticism that starts to happen in the second half of the movie. And what’s more all of this is quite absurd for an ordinary viewer but for those who work with the internet or create programs it is a daily routine and they can confirm that the worst scenario is when your identity is stolen on the internet, so this movie is worth thinking about. This is a very nice surprise that is more thriller than horror, but that doesn't matter here. The story revolves around the beautiful Lola, who earns her money through erotic webcam shows and tries to move up in the rankings. Unfortunately, someone steals her identity, taking almost everything from her and Lola doesn't like that. It's very original, colourful, quite smart, funny, decently acted, disturbing and mysterious at the same time, and above all it is exciting and sexy, something the gentlemen will enjoy, as there are plenty of butts and boobs. The finale is very nicely set up and the only thing that bothered me was that we don't get answers to certain questions. Netflix has been pedaling on the gas incredibly towards the end of the year and has improved significantly since January. Good job. 75% (19/11/2018)

A neon Kafkaesque tale set in the webcam tease business, it ponders nothing less than the value of the identity of the people who choose to put it on public display and earn some of those virtual dollars. The film is briskly shot, surprising, and as a result I didn't mind that it didn't thoroughly explain why and how everything that happened happened, but dealt mostly with what caused it and how to get out of it (if such a thing is possible). A brilliant portrayal of the degenerate generation 0, to which unfortunately I belong and must cope bravely with the fact that many pretty girls would rather undress in front of the camera than in front of me. The colourful format is fitting and the heroine’s gradual fall into despair and the literal loss of her identity are surpassed only by the fact that we don’t wish her anything good. From a purely logical perspective, perhaps it doesn’t make sense at times, but who gives a damn when they manage to smear major faults and threats of today’s anonymous internet community in such a credible and interesting way. Girls, dress nicely, throw away your mobiles and go back to the village balls, after all, you may end up undressing for the raffle, too. ;) (12/02/2020)

Alice aims at climbing the popularity ladder to the top, making great efforts to attract viewers to her online show – even if rather questionable practices are involved in the process. The turning point happens when Alice’s mysterious double is going after her virtual identity. Cam is smart, brisk, sexy and, most of all, a very refreshing horror thriller which opens the topic of webcam erotic services and brings quite a chilling insight on modern internet threats. Um thriller de enredo visualmente atraente e escandalosamente sexy sobre uma camgirl que ganha a vida a transmitir o seu espetáculo erótico online na Internet, onde tenta competir e conquistar o maior número de espetadores possível. Mas de repente uma misteriosa sósia rouba-lhe o perfil e o negócio de um dia para o outro e começa a roubar-lhe a privacidade... Esta visão notável e simpaticamente franca sobre a vida das jovens raparigas que não hesitam em despir-se e prostituir-se de facto num site com utilizadores anónimos é filmada de uma forma surpreendentemente dinâmica, com um sentido de humor negro e de bizarrice de algumas das perversões sexuais por cineastas muito capazes que a utilizam para fazer um comentário inteligente sobre o estado atual da vida na Internet e nos serviços de streaming. É também impressionante o enredo extraordinariamente construído, durante o qual a protagonista se torna vítima de algum tipo de conspiração diabólica - mas que infelizmente permanece não explicada, portanto, quem causou a conspiração e como o fez são questões deixadas à interpretação aberta. It's very brisk, very topical, and at times very sexy (in every respect). It's very likely that you'll feel rather more of a dislike for the main character at the beginning and then you’ll root for her all the more. The poor thing. A film for the undemanding viewer who doesn't know what to do with a busy evening. Solid entertainment. (25/10/2020)
