Annabelle 3 - O Regresso a Casa

A abertura com os Warren dá um bom arranque à parte três, dando-lhe um verdadeiro impulso de The Conjuring - A Evocação. O resto do filme é uma história de fantasmas elaborada e impecável com protagonistas crianças, trabalhando decentemente com o cenário, especialmente com a cave dos Warren com a sua coleção de artefactos amaldiçoados. No entanto, os fantasmas são demasiado inocentes, mesmo o lobisomem dissolve-se em fumo após ser batido com uma guitarra e a ameaça acaba. Esta assombração «segura» faz com que o filme possa ser visto por um público mais vasto, o que é agradável, mas pode ser uma desvantagem para alguns. (05/07/2019)

The third movie logically picks the story up where first two left it off with the only difference being that instead of a ghost-type of horror movie the creators made it into something almost like a soft teen horror movie which is more funny than scary. Despite that, this movie deserved the three stars rating for the unobtrusive and inventive shift. It is slightly different than what you would expect, but considering it is the third installment it is a step in the right direction. (10/08/2020)

Why is this even happening? Gary Dauberman makes his debut in the 3rd entry in the Conjuring Universe and it's the weakest link, much like this year's La Llorona. Nothing happens for an hour and once the creatures start coming to life in the final third, it's at least watchable, but there's no atmosphere or thrills to speak of. It was filmed in an almost made-for-TV way and I hardly enjoyed it at all. 40%. (28/08/2019)

With this The Conjuring universe has entered the phase of mass production. It’s competently made, eager, sleek and with pretty teenage actresses, but what good is that when you can experience similarly harmless horror in a traffic jam. Recommended by 8 out 10 film fans as a bed-time story for kids 6 and older. (15/09/2019)
