Primeiro Amor

A Yakuza versus os chineses versus não sei quem, e um jovem boxeador fracassado acidentalmente metido no enredo, que protege uma prostituta adolescente drogada, mas importante. A parte sobre o boxeador em transformação num lutador é agradável, mas o filme presta mais atenção à guerra dos clãs, que é mais grotesca do que fascinante, e os seus visuais indie ao estilo de Miike não lhe acrescentam realmente muitos pontos (pelo menos aos meus olhos). Takashi Miike is a roller coaster of a director. He makes one solid film and then follows it up with five terrible ones, with First Love being kind of a happy medium. Quite decent visuals for Miike, surprisingly without any awkward or weird scenes, but the film doesn't have much to surprise either. The action is relatively sparse and not too gripping, and plot-wise it could definitely have been more engaging too. Average.
