Sim, Hershell Gordon Lewis realizou o maior filme trash de todos os filmes trash, que se rege muito mais pelo gore aleatório e a nudez como um fim em si mesma, do que pela execução técnica, enredo policial e tentativa de humor, mas é um espetáculo B tão puro e ingénuo que uma pessoa quase tem vontade de se entusiasmar. Tem, simplesmente, um bom "coração" e, ao mesmo tempo, é provavelmente a ideia mais bizarra de assassinato que vi nos filmes de terror dos últimos anos. (05/11/2021)

Este é conduzido pelo inspetor americano Clouseau, e os strippers têm os olhos rasgados, os mamilos cortados e os rostos fervidos numa fritadeira profunda com batatas fritas. As strippers também provavelmente emolduravam e focalizavam as tomadas e cortavam a versão final enquanto a HerscHELL se divertia lascivamente com a sua... criatividade autoral. A cynical private eye and a sexy journalist uncover the background to the brutal murders of young strippers, which may be the result of a Catholic feminist conspiracy. It only hints a being a horror film, although the gore is truly impressive, and especially the butt hammering or face ironing is still impactful years later. Yet it's much more of a detective story that desperately doesn't know whether to reference or parody the noir school. The protagonist is brimming with cynicism, but he misses the mark due to the inflexibility of the rest of the characters. The entire film thus has to deal with a terrible inter-genre battle that ends in a tie. However, if you think of it as a B-movie, you'll have a lot of fun with it. (27/08/2007)
