Kusursuzlar (2013)

inglês The Turks can shoot something other than just television romantic dramas or some pseudo-comedic craziness. Kusursuzlar is proof of that. It's a well-made, professionally acted drama that has only one problem - it may not be a film you'll remember for long.

Trapped (2016)

inglês While I've mentioned several times that Indians aren't very good at making genre films, especially in the horror or thriller genres, occasionally an exception emerges - at least one that reaches me and is simply good. Trapped is proof of that. A guy locks himself away, but the consequences are devastating. A beautifully claustrophobic film.

Tramps (2016)

inglês A very well-acted film, where both young actors perform in such a way that it's just enjoyable to watch them, even in the less emotionally pleasant situations. But they don't overdo it, which is fine, because it's all about them, not so much about the story, which seems to be secondary. The central duo simply clicked together nicely.

A Hora do Lobo (2015)

inglês I somehow thought that this would be even better in the hands of Annaud. Much better, actually. But in the end, it turned out to be just visually stunning with great work with animals, but quite artificial, which bothered me more in this film than in Annaud's other films. However, the environment and the mindset of the local people were well conveyed.

Traffic in Souls (1913)

inglês Traffic in Souls has an immensely intriguing theme for its time because it is a crime film, albeit not strictly action-packed, where a woman tries, with a little help from a policeman, to put an end to forced prostitution, which has already crushed her sister. It's not explicit in its imagery, but the subject matter is interestingly conceived and even after over a hundred years, the film is worth watching.

To Each His Own (1946)

inglês Olivia de Havilland delivers such a performance that you even wish for a happy ending, which only happens when actors manage to draw you into their characters. Olivia de Havilland drew me in and I liked the narrative style, which is retrospective, building up the atmosphere for the finale.

Ernest in the Army (1998)

inglês Honestly, it's better than the film set in Africa, and perhaps it is even slightly better than some other films in the series, but Ernest just isn't as entertaining for the ninth time as the creators might have wanted. There is no plot to entertain us, and no jokes, which Jim Varney is the best at killing. Thanks, Jim, but his Ernest doesn't belong in the comedy hall of fame for me.

Titanic mille e una storia (2000)

inglês I don't understand why this movie was made in the first place. It’s essentially a variation on Cameron's spectacle, with the story greatly simplified, leading to romantic awkwardness, and on top of that, there are cute animals as nice supporting characters, who even perform some modern musical numbers. This is terrible, unoriginal awkwardness.

Ernest Goes to Africa (1997)

inglês I wonder if it was fun to at least shoot and if the actors enjoyed it. Because the viewer definitely won't enjoy watching it, and it's comedic suffering. Jim Varney has already given up on anything original; he just dresses up and basically makes one or two faces, even though his face is rubbery. Unfortunately, there is nothing funny here.

The Wheeler Dealers (1963)

inglês James Garner definitely had comedic talent, as evidenced by this film, but by itself, it's not a great comedy because the pace often slows down significantly, with moments where it feels like nothing much is happening. This is a pity because one tends to get bored very quickly in such passages. Sometimes, however, you will smile.
