Prevenge

Prevenge is a good film. It's a very gritty film. You tend to know pretty clearly where it's going, but you're still not sure how it's going to end. It’s pretty evident that the film is British, and that is definitely a good thing. It's as if underneath it all there is a dry humor that jumps out at you in the form of the individual deaths. There’s also a very interesting visual aspect that can surprise us with masks in the final part. (18/12/2017)

Alice Lowe, uma actriz de outro modo ocupada, escreveu e filmou as suas ansiedades e raiva. Provavelmente para se acalmar. Um drama pseudo-psicológico sobre uma viúva grávida louca de meia-idade que deixa a voz do seu filho por nascer levá-la a assassinar qualquer pessoa com a qual não se dá bem. Um filme de sangue-frio sem visão criativa de qualquer valor, sem clarificação das motivações da personagem principal, que não funciona nem como uma comédia negra cínica, nem como uma alegoria dos valores deformados da sociedade (egoísmo, irresponsabilidade).
