O pénis-demónio final e a canção final bons :-) ()

inglês Smarter than most viewers are willing to admit. Rogen's humor goes over the edge many times, but who can be mad when it's done in such a self-deprecating and ironic way. The studio execs must have freaked out at the test screening, which makes me wish Rogen and his crew all the more for the commercial success they've had overseas. Deservedly so, it’s probably the most sincere A-film to come out of the "dream factory" in years. ()

inglês The comedy of the year so far. Incorrect and vulgar, but smart. Self-aware and meta, but not forced. Here applies that the more you know (about the actors and the roles they usually play in their movies), the more you will laugh, as long as you are not a bore. But then, not everyone handles scatological and incorrect humour with the grace of Seth Rogen :) ()

inglês A really great premise which made a lot of actors finally look friendlier and more human to me, as they are basically playing themselves. Suddenly, however, there is a brutal apocalypse, which is a meaningless bullshit in all respects and the only thing keeping the movie afloat is a number of pretty brutal catchphrases of the individual actors, who put down and try to best each other. I like the fact that the actors were themselves and that several times they openly made fun of themselves. What I don’t like was that some jokes were pretty unnecessary and over the line. At times I laughed a lot, just to stop laughing afterwards and wait for another catchphrase that would make me happy again. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg came up with a great idea and a lot of the actors convinced me that they are a great group of friends who can make you laugh and that I should definitely reckon with them for the future of America. inglês A homemade movie by a bunch of friends which was meant to remain undiscovered, the same way as all other homemade movies are. As funny as it sounds on the paper, the realization came out pretty flaky. Rogen and Goldberg should have had the sense not to let themselves stand behind the camera. It all holds together purely thanks to the cast. Everybody, without exception, is clearly having fun. Which is also the reason why I concentrate more on the bonus materials and reviews rather than on the movie itself which, in its humor and style, is on exactly the same wave as everything else that Rogen has written so far. inglês A severely below average comedy based on disgusting and embarrassing jokes about all sorts of bodily fluids. He squirted there, another one drank his urine... in short, all the usual sleaze crammed into one film. And when they didn't know what to do, they repeated "p*ssy" three times. I'm sorry, but I'm not in first grade anymore. I don't want to see any of the actors who were in this movie for a long time. My rating is only about two jokes away from boo, and those two hardly got more than a smile out of me. Although I don't know myself if it was because it was funny or pathetic. 0.5 stars ()

inglês From about half way through this was an improvised commercial for the Bible and MilkyWay, packed with snappy lines. Sumptuous sub-plots and cameos never seen before. Rihanna burns in hellfire, Michael Cera didn’t disappoint for the first time in his life, Hermione has an ax and Tatum delivers another good one this year. Everybody in the main gang rocks, but I rooted for Franco the most. I guffawed loud and frequently. I’m glad they’re doing the sequel to Pineapple Express. ()

inglês In probably the first film since Tropic Thunder, this is a film whose creators I would believe even if they told me in a hackneyed way: “We all enjoyed filming it, a great bunch of people came together." Except for a few moments when the jokes were awkward, I actually had fun from beginning to end (and more and more towards the end); and look, Jonah Hill is responsible for one of the very best moments of This Is the End. inglês Mission accomplished. Rihanna shook her ass, Hermione smacked Rogen in the face with an axe, Hill tried an exorcism on his own body, and Craig Robinson scored the most iconic line ever uttered at the gates of heaven. The humour is inconsistent and often misses the mark, the script impresses more as a sequence of various parodies than as a crazy whole, and the gory scenes are overly self-indulgent and unnecessary, but as an American one-off crap, it maintains a very tolerable level. Moreover, the actors were beautifully cast, and their dimensionless honesty and spitting on their own characters shows that Hollywood stars are not just superheroes and charitable icons. Robert Downey should have been here, though :D 70% ()

inglês This is the End is a comedy that is pulled from mediocrity by the actors playing themselves, a large number of parody and WTF scenes, but it is also marred by a number of silly and cheesy sequences that probably couldn't be avoided in a film like this. The best moments were a pretty funny parody of The Exorcist and a heavenly cameo by an unnamed band. In short, a film that satisfies as an average one-off and there is not the slightest need for anyone to ever see it again. ()

inglês This is exactly the type of movie that you expect a lot from, but don't get much. A few amusing jokes, a few decent scenes, but it's clear that the actors were the ones enjoying it the most. I wish them well, it's clear that they make a great team, but they forgot about the audience a bit. However, then comes the ending and the predictable comedy turns into an absolutely brilliant tribute... I won't say to whom, that would be a shame, but this one scene alone really got to me, and I just have to give a bit more credit than this comedy deserves. ()

inglês After a really long time, a movie that isn’t trying too hard. You can tell that Rogen did it his way without letting anyone interfere, so it turned out to be one of the best comedies of the year and except for some dull moments and a few lame jokes, it’s fun most of the time. I especially enjoyed the first half, the second one wasn’t as good. But still, 4 stars. ()
